It Works For Us is a dark comedy by Dick Curran about sex, love and power.

We are looking for 2 Male and 2 Female actors for our upcoming production to premiere at Liverpool's Write Now Festival, April 2011.

Please respond with a CV and cover letter by 5pm on 17th January.

Auditions due to be held in Liverpool city centre venue on 23rd/24th January.

Please note this is a profit-share production and any payment will be given on an equal profit-share basis.

Character breakdown:

Mike - Male, aged 30 to 45
Not a risk-taker. A family man whose family have just left home; a professional whose career is going nowhere. Afraid of redundancy – professional and personal.

Dawn - Female, aged 30 to 45
Wants to be a risk-taker. Mike’s wife. She married young, has brought up two children and supported Mike at work, but whereas he is afraid of what the future might hold she is excited by it.

Ross - Male, aged 25 to 35
Used to be a risk-taker. Works with Mike where he is a rising star at work. He is a frustrated artist, in a turbulent and chaotic marriage with Sacha. He is jealous and tries to be controlling , she is unfaithful.

Sacha - Female, aged 25 to 35
An extreme risk-taker. Strikingly assertive, outspoken and sexually confident woman. She refuses to be tied by convention and more than anything else is afraid of being bored. “Doesn’t know what she wants but she knows how to get it”.
