Film School follows an anxious but eager twenty- something film student named Liam as he enters a potentially life-changing film contest for his school.

Usually an introvert keen on working alone, Liam must use all of his resources to gather a creative team that can bring his passion project to life and win the contest.

Through a series of hits & misses, Liam scours the school and all of its various departments (Sound Engineers, Editors, Actors, Etc.) and successfully reaches out to a rebellious director/rapscallion named Mossy- whom Liam sees a unique vision in.

During his search, Liam meets ‘Stephanie’ or as Mossy calls her ‘Deaf Steph” a bright and beautiful budding actress/film maker who happens to be hard of hearing, Liam is mesmerized by her and has the idea of casting her as the lead in his film to try and win her affections, thereby jeopardizing the project from the very beginning.

When Liam has a misunderstanding with ‘Trent’ a former student (involving the school’s janitor throwing out his sandwich) that leads to Liam throwing boiling coffee into Trent’s face, while this unfortunate encounter gains Liam some unprecedented “street cred” among the students & faculty- he also acquires some brand new enemies...
Knowing that both he and Mossy lack the organizational skills needed to line-produce a film, Liam turns to the aid of his shrill but savvy events management/PR cousin Michelle- who reluctantly accepts the task of “Project Coordinator.”And with that- Liam now has everything he needs to begin his journey and find out what he’s truly made of.

It will be un-paid but can lead to a full time slot on the show if we get the go ahead.

Our two lead characters are Liam & Mossy.
Every character below will interact with the two leads and will be in every episode.

LIAM: the show’s main protagonist. An assuming “Peter Parker”-like young man who is hell bent on turning a beloved screenplay of his into the winning short film in the school’s film contest. He has some ability as a writer but very little understanding of the film making process and little confidence in his own ability.

MOSSY: the wildcard, slacker Directing major who- while leading a bohemian, no-holds-barred approach to film school life- struggles to find validation and identity at the school. He makes his living by selling pirate DVD’s and sees Liam’s project as a terrific opportunity to make his mark as a legitimate filmmaker. Although at first to most he may appear to be a lunatic and strung out there is a loveable older brother quality that we discover as his friendship with Liam blossoms.
