Synopsis

‘Sleep Talk Guru’ is a short comedy Mockumentary following New Age practitioner Barbara Newington and a group of her students in a series of bizarre dream workshops. The film is narrated by long time Barbara devotee Ian, who is responsible for documenting the workshops on his trusty handy cam. Ian’s blind faith in Barbara’s teachings lead us on a journey of self-discovery in which not everything is as it seems.

The Role (Female Lead)

Barbara is middle aged and attractive. She is twice divorced, finding it hard to make lasting relationships due to her constant pleasure seeking and impulsive behaviour. She is a larger than life Jekyll and Hyde type character who appears to be a charming eccentric but is covertly manipulative and domineering. A pathological liar with a grandiose sense of self, she will stop at nothing to get what she wants.
