A short film funded as part of the prestigious Film London shorts scheme, supported by the BFI, the Mayor of London\'s Office and Creative Skillset. Last year\'s film funded from our borough under this scheme was up for a BAFTA. We have ambitions just as high.

Priya is a 15 year old British-Asian female teenager, who speaks with a London or non-regional accent.

Plot summary: Teenager Priya lives with her devout mother, Mrs Shah, in a suburban household that revolves around the worship of the ancient idols of Hinduism. But Priya longs for the glamour of Bollywood and - to her mother\'s dismay - worships only the comically dashing Indian action hero Cosmo Basmati. When Cosmo comes to town to promote his latest film, their conflicting attitudes come to a head. Is Priya\'s idol all she dreamt up?

We are holding a round of auditions in London on Friday the 12th of April 2013 from 12 to 3pm.
