We are a team of people who have crowdfunded for a film which will paint a realistic portrayal of domestic abuse. A narrator will describe the story through song, which has been written and recorded by a London based hip hop artist.



The story is about a young woman who is caught in the spiral of abuse and her journey in to breaking out of its cycle. We want to challenge the audience in to addressing their attitudes towards domestic abuse and what the signs can be to recognise it in everyday life.



We are working with a North London based youth centre who is guiding us throughout this project - they are providing information and helping us navigate the difficult stories around abuse. The film will also work as a youth engagement project where young actors from the youth centre will also star in the film.



We are on the look out for an actress who will play the main role of Anna. We are looking to cast someone who feels comfortable with this subject matter and realises the emotional context it will show. Someone with prior experience is ideal, but not necessary.



In terms of the film team, we are experienced and have worked on many films and videos together. This is purely a passion project and we have crowdfunded money to pay for materials and equipment. Unfortunately we cannot offer anything else other than expenses.



This film promises to be compelling, important, and vital to the women that experience abuse around the world. We want to create something that is cinematic, but very much real.
