Paradise Waiting is a short film set in the 1920's that follows the journey of 20 year old Joe and his 16 year old sister, Sarah, as they travel across England on foot. Joe is in search of a new job and has to juggle his drive and ambition for work whilst caring for his ill sister.

We are a passionate group of students producing our graduate film. The objective is to have the film complete by May 2012 and we are hoping to enter the film into a variety of film festivals. All expenses will be covered.

We plan to audition for the two roles in the last 2 week of February.

We aim to shoot mid March, but dates are to be confirmed.

Sarah is Joe's sixteen-year-old sister. Sarah is fairly petite, cheeky and innocent. She gets annoyed when Joe breaks the rules in order to get their food, but she is incredibly appreciative of all that he does for her. As the journey progresses, Sarah's health steadily declines and she struggle to keep up with Joe. Sarah keeps her deteriorating health to herself, not wanting to burden her brother.
