Based on the Velvet Undergrounds song ‘The Gift’, Waldo Jeffers is a man of the same era. Waldo is a whimsical and tall gentleman anxious to surprise his girlfriend, Marsha, on her Birthday. Unsure on how to make his way there, he thinks up a genius plan when he looks out on a delivery van outside his flat. Awkwardly packaging himself into a box, Waldo posts himself to Marsha. The advert shows the journey of Waldo’s box as it goes over land and sea, experiencing all manners of discomfort brought on by the environments it finds itself in. When the box arrives to Marsha’s house she duly carves open the box with her new pair of scissors, a gift from her parents from Not On The High Street to help with her obsessive paper chain addiction. Ouch, Marsha has stabbed Waldo in the head. He should’ve just gone to Not On The High Street dot com.
