Film Director is looking for the following feature film cast.

Title: Balkans (working title)

Genre: Thriller

The Story: A journalist infiltrates the Balkan Mafia in London and meets a young prostitute who desires to escape and become a singer. The themes of the film include organised crime, British and international Mafia, prostitution, sexism, the music industry, parties, undercover police investigations and journalistic malpractice.

JOE

Unstoppable, determined, curious, witty, vulnerable and a good liar, Joe is in his mid twenties and was educated at Cambridge. His desire to reach the top of his profession and his fascination with sex and the criminal underworld drives him to uncover the workings of the Eastern European Mafia. Joe's heritage enables him to infiltrate the Eastern European Mafia with a fair amount of ease. Joe is one of the remaining few journalists committed to the ethos of investigative journalism and research – to uncover the truth using all methods in spite of the risks.

Key attributes include emotional highs and lows, temperamental, determined, humorous, hungry, cautious. He is half English / half Eastern European.

MURIEL

Muriel is a trader of women and is English. She has been in the business for over 40 years and is over 60. She also has a good send of humour but can seem to have a strange and mysterious aura from a distance.

TAROT READER

Born in Russia, Kanita is revolutionary, breaking all the rules regarding methods of learning and using tarot cards. She has forty years tarot experience and emphasizes personal insight and creativity. As a tarot reader, she works as a 'midwife of the soul. She is between 45 and 55.

SMALL MAN

A midget presents at Sammy Cigar's nightclub. He wears a red suit. He is under 1.4m in height.
