Details:

The two roles are for a multi-role occupation.

Claudius:
Hamlet's uncle, married Hamlet's mother within two months of Hamlet's fathers death.
He seems to be the only character happy with Hamlet and Ophelia's relationship. (The director has made the brave decision to make one of Shakespeare's most renowned male protagonists a woman - following the success of switching the gender of other significant make characters; Malvolio, Puck and Iago in previous RumDoxy productions)
He dearly loves Gertrude and takes the wrap for her (In this adaptation it is Gertrude who murdered Hamlet's father) but he is far from weak.
Hamlet kills herself and Claudius snaps - in the end he has enough of Gertrude's controlling/detached/overbearing nature.

Laertes:
Polonius' son, brother to Ophelia, he is dead-set against Ophelia and Hamlet's relationship and tries his utmost to stop it.
He is a smaller role yet very significant.
He is arrogant, assertive and hot tempered.

This is a profit share production
Contributions to travel will be made
Accommodation is offered

Rehearsals take place over weekends in October.
Tour starts for the beginning of November with a break through December, restarting in February.
