"Christmas with the Joneses" is a short film about what it means to be a family in contemporary society. With emigration, busy working lives and changing family dynamics, what it means to be a family today is constantly shifting and often being together is a challenge. Christmas time, as a traditional time for families is often the hardest time of year for those who cannot be together.

"Christmas with the Joneses" is a three-part short film, telling the story of the the Jones family, who are separated for the first time at Christmas. Dylan Jones (early 30\'s) is spending his first Christmas with his fiancee\'s family and cannot return home, Frances Jones (early 20\'s) has to work on Christmas day and is spending it entirely alone and Grace and Aaron (late 50\'s early 60\'s) are alone together for their first Christmas in years, newly retired they must learn to adapt to being a two rather than a four. The film will show the respective Christmas day experiences of both Jones children and their parents and highlight that although loneliness and nostalgia effect them all, shared memory and what it means to be a family ultimately unites them.
