Jason works in a supermarket and continually argues with Mandy, his girlfriend. Everyday he feels more trapped in a life that is not special in any way. The bad news is that to escape from the mediocrity in a city like London has its risks. The night holds for Jason more than what life has taught him to handle.

Tempering Jason is a film about change and coming to terms with one’s own shortcomings. Jason, a man in his thirties, has an argument with his girlfriend, Mandy, at a party. She accuses him of being insensitive, but Jason is not interested in hearing what she has to say. He feels unjustly treated and walks out, leaving her on her own. On his way home he encounters a number of difficulties and people that make him change in his attitude towards Mandy, as well as life. Jason starts off as a very confident, cocky person, but as the film develops he becomes more and more insecure realizing his own fragility. He gets mugged by a couple of hoodies, and when he takes a shortcut through the local graveyard he encounters a man that makes him face his own mortality. When Jason goes back to apologize to Mandy it is too late. The hoodies did not only mug him, they stabbed him to death. Jason now realizes he is dead and that he can never make it up to Mandy.
