Laura is a mother of two young spirited boys living in the countryside. When the impending collapse of the world is announched, Laura's husband deserts them. Determined not to let her family fall apart, Laura invites her mother to stay with them, and help her keep the boys happy and blissfully unaware of the impending end of the world. Laura has been forced to become a strong woman in unusual circumstances. Constantly worried about her children, the world, and forcing herself to pretend that everything is okay has started to take their toll. She is a good mother who has had to make a terrible choice. But she is sticking it out to the end, and making the most of the situation.
