We are looking for a man to play the part of Richard the Robot, a lead role, for a student film called "A Third-Hand Richard" directed by Ivan Torres. It is a 4th year graduation from from Edinburgh College of Art. It is a 10-12 minutes comedy/drama about Margaret, a 40ish year old single, unemployed woman who, tired of her loneliness, decides to buy a human looking robot for her birthday.
Being a graduation film this will be shown at the Filmhouse cinema in Edinburgh and potentially at other film festivals.
It is essential that you are from Scotland, as being a student production, there is a limit to how much we can compensate for travel costs.
The actual shoot is scheduled to begin at the 7th of March and will last between 7-10 days.

Name: The Richard
Age: 23-35
Gender: Male
Ethnicity: Caucasian-White
Summary: The Richard is a third-hand, human looking robot who has been created for human beings companionship. He is a very old-fashioned version in a very poor state, but must look younger than Margaret.
