The Company

Its been tough. The Vikings were angry. Guy Fawkes’ gunpowder was soggy, and the Witches had to be drowned instead of burnt. However, The York Dungeon is back!! Funnier. Better. Bolder than ever. Now, we are looking to bring in our Performance Team, consisting of 19 actors.

The Person

Candidates interested in this unique and unusual role will have a performing arts/drama qualification at College level or above, an understanding of various performance styles, character building & development and improvisation skills. Previous experience in live theatrical performance, working with the public and excellent customer service skills are essential.

The Role

Reporting to the Performance Manager, responsibilities will include performing shows to the highest standard in line with Dungeon Brand Guidelines, focusing on the visitor and the experience at all times.

OPEN AUDITIONS will be held at THE HILTON HOTEL, YORK on SATURDAY 16TH FEBRUARY from 1PM – 6PM. Please prepare a 5 minute ghost story and a 2 minute funny story about yourself. Your contact details will be needed on the day. You must be available for RE-CALL AUDITIONS on MONDAY 25TH AND TUESDAY 26TH FEBRUARY.
