A group of passionate film making students in our final year of undergraduate studies in Farnborough, Hampshire. We are using industry-standard equipment and professional practices to produce and deliver a short film targeting a young audience. Mentoring from our tutor, a feature film director, has furthered our learning and potential. We now aim at inspiring, informing and entertaining people around us

Short Film "Peers"

Peers is about how relationships with friends impacts on the choices we make.

Tom Ashby is a student who shares a house with three other students. There’s Elliott (usually called Stoner), Tara ( the tidy freak) and Becky( beautiful and funny). He is more naïve than the others and finds himself in a situation that he can’t really get out of because he wants to fit in. On top of that he’s attracted to Becky.

As a challenge for his birthday, his mates have bought some ecstasy pills. Tom is caught. Do you stay cool and take the pills to keep the friends and impress the girl or don’t you? He makes the decision and it has far reaching consequences for them all.

Character profiles

Tom - Tom is medium height, slim with short hair aged 18/19. He is timid and reserved, but enjoys socialising with people he trusts. His best friend is Stoner who he trusts but thinks he takes things too relaxed. He has a huge crush on Becky but doesn\'t know how to express his feelings towards her, however he is still able to talk to her comfortably. He studies Maths at degree level and is hard working, sometimes resenting Stoner’s laid back personality.

Stoner - Stoner is tall, slim and has longish hair aged 19. He is laid back and loves to be the centre of attention. His interests revolves around his image and he wears fashionable cloths, which he takes very seriously. He gets along with everyone in the house and tries to get Tom involved, which influences Tom to go against his better judgement. Stoner acts very confident around people but secretly feels insecure about what people think of him, using jokes to relax the atmosphere.

Becky - Becky is medium height, small build with blond shoulder length hair aged 18. She is enthusiastic and creative as she studies art and design. She has a small crush on Tom and flirts with him from time to time. Becky is from a working class family and can be stubborn at times but is also out going and gets along well with everyone. She is also a tom-boy, despite having a feminine side, and enjoys being friends with the boys.

Tara - Tara is tall with long dark hair aged 19. She is obsessed with social networking but outgoing and gets involved on a personal level with other peoples affairs. Tara gets along with Stoner who she trusts and respects and she also admires him. She has another circle of friends who she contacts on Facebook so is away from the main group however she consolidates with Becky who is her best friend in the house
