Casting Call: Asian Actors for rehearsed reading (Nottingham)

We are looking for two male actors and one female actor for a rehearsed reading in Nottingham. We need two male actors in their 20s, and one female in her 40s or older to play characters of Pakistani descent.

The Play is called Bad Blood and is written by Nottingham based writer Hugh Dichmont. It's a comedy about a young British Muslim who has become disillusioned by his culture and gets involved in selling counterfeit halal meat. The play is really funny and will be great fun to rehearse. We are looking to start rehearsals as soon as possible and will perform at AEDA in Nottingham on Friday 6th December.

More about Act 2

Act 2 is a new writing project based in Nottingham which aims to provide a platform for emerging playwrights and theatre-makers to develop new work through staging readings of their pieces with local actors. Working with script over a period of around one month, we will start a creative conversation around the text: discussing ideas, rehearsing parts of the text and working towards a rehearsed reading in front of a small audience, followed by an informal discussion with written feedback.
