Premise:

Early in the Cold War, teenager Elena risks her life to deliver messages
to her lover Jonas, a Resistance commander hiding in Lithuania\'s forestsfrom KGB assassins exterminating opposition to the Soviet invasion. A story of risk, love and loss.

The film will be shot on HD in the south Wales region and produced for
festival submissions. As an adaptation of a published story it will play aspart of the Versions Film Festival in Manchester next November.

Production window is the end of January / early February 2011. This partwill be required for 1 day of shooting. This is a paid position, offering 100 + travel expenses.

Elena is a 75-year old Lithuanian woman who has lived in the UK for 50
years but still has a strong accent as well as a difficult body: her back
is stiff and her hips arthritic means she hobbles when she walks. She sawhard times as a young woman both before the Second World War and after,during the Soviet era, lost her family to KGB purges before finally fleeing to the West.
