The production is about a young girl who's mother was murdered, a few months after her mothers death shes told by her grandma she's a witch and receives the dead book, the book is a form of protection for witches but can be uses as a weapon as its a book that can kill people. She is determined to find her mothers killer and along the way she finds two men connected to her mothers death, one is the killer. She wrongly suspects one of the men until she is shown a vision and finds out she almost killed the wrong man. She uses the book to get her revenge.

Alexa's mother has been murdered, Alexa is trying to move on with her life when she see's a vision of her mother actually being killed, she later finds out she's a witch and receives a book from her grandma called the dead book, its a kind of protection for witches against witch hunters but can also kill humans if they have broken a law of natural such as murder, a witch has to know the person they are going to kill they have to have spoken to them, once they have some sort of connection with them they can kill them by writing their name in the dead book.
She finds two men one of them is connected to her mothers death she doesn't know which, she comes very close to killing the wrong guy until she realizes who is the true killer and gets her revenge for her mother.

Overall Alexa is quiet a strong person, but sometimes shes gets over whelmed by the loss of her mother.
