'The Last Waltz' tells the story of Tom, a lonely old man with nothing but his memories. Throughout the short, Tom's presence holds an air of mystery and suspicion; something is not quite right. As the narrative progresses, heartfelt and meaningful moments work their way into Tom's present day. It's only towards the end when Tom tries to interact with these moments that we understand they were in fact memories and see the reality of his life. This short will play on the idea of what's real and what is not.

As a University Undergraduate piece, we have very little funds to make our visions into a reality and so unfortunately as it stands we cannot offer a fee. However, the team will cover expenses including travel and accommodation. We will also provide a DVD copy of the short film on completion for your future showreels.

We are currently looking to fill the position of a young female in her early 20s who plays a main role in the memories. Throughout the memories we see a young couple, Tom & Maria - Tom being Older Tom's inner self. Maria is the reason for Tom's happiness.

Set in the South East, our locations are based in Canterbury and Margate (accommodation and travel will be provided if needed), with a shooting period from the 27th of January - 30th of January 2014
