Due to some actors being forced to pull out of their audition slots for various reasons, we currently have slots available for 15:10, 15:30: 15:40 & 15:50 tomorrow on the 13/03/2012 at the Actors Centre in central London. This is an original short 10 minute film to be created as part of our film degree.

The film itself is a dark comedy centring around 2 days in the life of a perpetually depressed (even though he has no reason to be) and attention seeking youth as he makes half-hearted and misguided attempts to take his own life with varied degrees of failure.

There will be a casting call in London on the 13/03/2012 at the Actors Centre in London with a second set of auditions to be held at Winchester University on the 14/03/2012.

Shooting will begin on the 23/03/2012 in Winchester (an hour from London via train) and will last between 2 - 3 days.

Due to this being an un-funded student film we will only be able to provide travel costs to Winchester as well as a food budget but all actors will be given a copy of the finished film upon its completion which they can use in any promotional works or show reels they may have.

Character Profiles:

KURT:

Late teens/early twenties, middle class Caucasian, weedy, lanky and shabby looking. He has a constant look of melancholy along with a vile disposition and a sense of self-righteousness that makes him instantly detestable. His main form of communication is sarcasm and spiteful remarks that all have an undertone of self-pity.

KURTS MOTHER:

In her mid 40’s, pleasant in appearance and temperament. Her clothing is stylish in an understated way and her hair is tied up. She is softly spoken and cares a lot about her son.

RACHEL:

Late teens/early twenties, plain middle class Caucasian. Brown hair, average height. She is a popular girl who is considered to be very stylish. She is sweet yet strong minded and always takes Kurt’s comments with a pinch of salt.
