We are third year students from Sussex University working on our final project which is a short film that will be shot early february 2014 (From the 9th to the 12th of February approximately). This is a serious project so only committed people please!

The film will be a drama about a male dealing with a transgender transformation and the prejudice from society, it is a polemic topic and we will enter the film into film festivals.

Directed and Written by Director Daniela Sierra with working experience in London and Los Angeles, Produced by Adam Prendergast and Edited by Rosie Day.

We have already cast for the main role of Marjorie (the transgender) so we are now looking for 13 actors with previous acting experience.

Sarah - age range: 20 to 35, female, outgoing. (Marjorie's best friend)
Tom - age range: 20 to 30, male, strong body (The bully)
Frank - age range: 30 to 45, male (The boss)
Barry - age range: 30 to 40, male (Co-worker)
Pedro - age range 30 to 40, male (Co-worker)
Jessica - age range: 18 to 25, female. (Manicurist)
John - age range: 20 to 30, male, strong preferably (Tom's friend)
Charlie - age range: 20 to 30, male, strong preferably (Tom's friend)
Carla - age range: 18 to 25, female (Receptionist)
Monica - age range: 18 to 25, female (Interviewee)
Alice - age range: 14 to 20, female (teenager)
Julia - age range: 14 to 20, female (teenager)

All parts will be challenging in the sense that the acting will embody the mood and message of the film, no part is less important. The film will be 15 minutes long and will deal with topics like prejudice, bully, transgender, loneliness and self-acceptance.

All travel and food expenses will be covered by us during the filming period (9/2 to 12/2). We cannot offer any payment due to our strict budget we have raised through crowdfunding.

The auditions will take place at the Sussex University Campus in Falmer (bus 23,25,28,29 or 10 minute train from Brighton station) on the 30th and 31st of January. You may prepare a scene of your preference or act one of ours.
