We are currently casting for a short independent film, Behind The Eyes by Chris Cory. The film follows the journey of Darla, a young lady living in the dark that, after a series of events makes peace with something long forgotten and allows colour back into her life.

The auditions will be held on Saturday March 12th in London. Filming will begin April 9th for one week.

Darla – The character has a unique way of seeing the world. We are looking for a white actress with a playing age of 24-28, blue eyes, slim build with a rough and tumble vibe. The roll requires a fair amount of running and involves partial nudity.

Mum – We are looking for an actress with a good character voice, as this is mainly a voice over part. It is preferable if the actress is tall, 5'6” or over for the aesthetics of the shoot. She is a busy mum and is quite stressed and loosing her patience with age.

Adam – Darla's live-in boyfriend, he has a creative mind but is stuck in a menial job, and up holds a quirky sense of humour. He is in his mid twenties, (24-28yrs), medium/average build. No specific ethnicity. We are looking for someone who is not conventionally handsome.

Helena – 19-20years old, the youngest of the bakery/cafe employees. A fast talker with active social life. A gossip

Mitilda – 26-29 years old, works at the bakery/cafe and is discontented with her career prospects.

Anna – Owns the bakery/cafe and is in her late 30's to early 40's. She is slightly over weight and likes to assert her authority.

Mr TV – 30 – 50 years old of any ethnicity. A public speaker. Must have a sense of a politician or car salesman about him.
