Details:
FAO Filmmakers/Actors!
Are you interested in putting your acting/filming skills to the test? This is an improvisational project, where you, the actor, will play the role of an interviewee... you are free to be as creative as possible (while keeping to certain rules; below).
This project is based on the link between YOUR CHARACTER and \"BOXMAN\". Boxman is somebody that YOUR CHARACTER has had an encounter with. It could be an encounter, or a rumour your character has heard. The relationship between your character and Boxman is entirely up to you. He could be an adaptation of somebody you know, or take an interest in. Boxman is whoever you want it to be... but you will refer to him as \"Boxman\".
The idea is to answer 2 questions, one about yourself and the other about Boxman, be as convincing as you like.
All you have to do, is the following:
1. Get into character. (Invent your own character, be as believable or unbelievable as you like)
2. Get a video camera, or camera phone. (High quality recordings would be preferred but it doesn\'t matter too much)
3. Prepare to film yourself, or get someone to film you. Set up a shot in any location of your choice, and RECORD IMPROVISATIONAL DIALOGUE for the following questions...
-QUESTION 1: WHO ARE YOU?
-QUESTION 2: HOW DO YOU KNOW \"BOXMAN\"?
(Please do not include the question in the interview - and answer in the form of self-contained statements. Leave a 5 second gap between each answer - Remember, be as creative as you like!)
4. Email me to discuss video sending/upload (tom_lindsay@live.com)
You\'ve all seen piece-to-camera interviews on TV. I will be looking for the most interesting, most bizarre, most funny stories as well as most serious, conventional, believable anecdotes. The 2 questions are open-ended, go wild! The interviews that are selected for the project will feature in the short film, and all those contributors who make this possible will receive a copy of the final film, for your showreels, once it has been edited.
