Barnfield College Second Year Media group are casting for their upcoming screen adaptation of Tim Macy's The Brass Teapot (http://www.eastoftheweb.com/short-stories/UBooks/BrasTeap.shtml). The story revolves around the life of the main characters John and Alice when the couple discover a brass teapot that produces money whenever they injure themselves or each other. They must decide how far they are willing to go. The following roles need to be filled for this production:
John (Husband): Male, Age 45-55
Dark hair colour starting to grey, average build, tall. John is a professional man, a husband and a father weighed down and tired by the drudgery of life responsibilities.
Alice (Wife): Female, Age 40-50
Light or dark hair starting to grey, slim to medium build. Alice is a bright woman who was once full of ambition however like her husband life’s routine and money worries have taken her spark, but she is still practical and holds it together day by day.
Holly (Daughter): Female, Age 18-20
Blonde or dark hair, tall and slim, friendly nature, energetic and innocent.
Randy (Repairman): Male, Age 40-50
Bald of receeding, heavy set, strong, good natured but nobody’s fool, he has a working class accent. Will be involved in a scene where he will be attacked and die.
Old Lady: Female, Age 60-70
Petite, dark hair to grey, dirty looking, strange, dirty toe nails, long fingers.
Marco (Waiter): Male, Age 18-20
Blonde or dark hair, tall, good looking (clothes).
Transport will be organised for cast to and from Luton Town Centre and refreshments will be supplied along with a copy of the finished adaptation on DVD format.
