Details:

I am looking to fill the roles of three characters for this I need; a woman with a playing age of 60/70\'s, a man also with a playing age of 60/70\'s and a woman with a playing age of mid/late 20\'s to early 30\'s.

The location is yet to be finalised by I am hoping for it to be in Filey, North Yorkshire (near Scarborough). Though I have ticked that this is an unpaid role, it is fairly negotiable in terms of extra expenses. These would be things such as travel and accommodation. The location I am wanting to use in Filey has a fair number of bedrooms and could be used for the cast if you so wish. However this still needs to be confirmed and is something I\'m working on for the next couple of weeks.

With the script almost out of development, here is a brief overview of the story...

John walks down the street, quietly humming to himself. He stops when he reaches a bench which looks out to the sea. He takes in the fresh air and stares into the distance.

Moments later, Rose approaches him. They make their introductions and begin a conversation about family and discuss how much they both love the sea. Rose mentions how she lives in a house that her husband designed for her which leads down to the beach. John is genuinely interested and inquisitive, but he can’t help fidgeting. Now and again he begins his murmured singing, apologising when he does.

After a few minutes of conversation an alarm goes off in John’s pocket, Rose is unfazed by this. John turns off the alarm and places it back in his pocket. Before getting up he has one last look out into the distance, he turns to Rose to say goodbye and hopes to see her again soon. John pushes himself off the bench and begins walking back home. Rose observes him then turns back to face the ocean as a faint smile appears on her face.

John walks into the house and Julia, his carer, is there to welcome. She has made two cups of tea, which they go into the living room to drink. John tells Julia that he met a woman which they talk about briefly. He then takes one of his drawings off the table and continues it so Janet takes her book.

John goes for a lie down on his bed. He perches on the edge of his bed and spots a note on his bedside cabinet. It is a note from his wife, Rose, explaining that though he might not understand, she is his wife and they are going to meet today. Confused he notices a picture which is next to the note. It’s of him and Rose. He takes a moment to study the picture. His face drops, eyes moving madly as he remembers his wife and their life together for a brief moment. He tenderly touches her face then slowly brings his legs up on the bed, clutching the picture to his chest as a tear falls from one eye.

He wakes up, after having fallen asleep. He is confused as he notices that he is holding a picture. He looks blankly at the photograph and places it face down on the bed as he gets up. He begins singing to himself again, whilst walking out of his bedroom and down the stairs. The note has fallen through a gap between the bed and the bedside cabinet.
