Details:

Here is a brief description of the show:

What happens when you arrive at the pearly gates - and the afterlife is full? Judgement Day, written by H.C. White and directed by Gary Sefton, is a satire on government bureaucracy and border control. As they try to fit into the system that they have always been told is ideal, a newly graduated angel must recognise that humans are a lot more complicated than they learned about in textbooks - and that maybe the system isn't all it seems to be.

You can see Harrison and Gary's previous body of work at hcwhite.co.uk and garysefton.co.uk.

The performance will be of a portion of a full musical within a festival of six shows; all of the shows are double booked but the run time for each piece is 45min. Rehearsals run September 7th-16th, and tech/dress/two performances during the week of September 18-23 (some additional rehearsal may be added in this time if needed but you will know in advance):

Monday, September 18 - Morning tech
Thursday, September 21 - Morning dress, Evening performance
Saturday, September 23 - Afternoon performance

We are looking to cast 2 people to be a part of our production:

Angelo/a's Dad (M) (Baritone)
Angelo/a's Dad is a stoic, traditional, hard-working dad, who is well respected in his community. He has a reputation to uphold, and whilst he loves his child, he is also embarrassed by their quirks. He is good deep down, but has become a cog in the machine of the afterlife's bureaucracy. Eventually, he will see sense and help his child to save the afterlife.

Sid/Ensemble (M) (Baritone/Tenor)
On earth, Sid was a burnt out, drug-abusing, wannabe Rockstar. A hedonist, through and through, he enjoyed sex, drinking, and getting in trouble. Beneath his lazy, rebellious, outer layer is a deeply conscientious, curious, and intelligent man who just wants to get over his insecurities and be part of a community. The actor playing Sid will also multi-role as other characters in the story.
