Details:

The Other Side is the debut short film from director Nia Childs and producer Bianca Di Marco, and will be short by DOP Deepa Keshvala. The film will be shot in London over two days in June / July and will involve a night shoot.

Synopsis

Shona’s partner is involved in crime. When he doesn’t come home one night, she sets out to find him, thinking the worst.
The Other Side is a story that is not often told in the cinema. It is the story of many women who have men in their lives that are involved in crime. Women are often the sub plot in such stories, and crime is often explored through explosive, dramatic narratives that often neglect to explore the mundanity of the lifestyle. Women who have these men in their lives are often reduced to the tired trope of the abused partner, or the grieving mother, and their narratives are only explored through their relationship with these men. This film is for all of those women who call around, who worry, who wait.
