All About Janet will be shot around mid may and filming will take just a day or two.
All About Janet is a story that investigates selfishness. We hear so much about killing people on compassionate grounds, but what about the people that do it for selfish reasons? Is everyone really doing it because they care, or is it just because they want the useless cling-on out of the way? Sure, they will cry at the funeral... then try and have sex with the widow at the wake. How much do people really care? How much is simply a façade?
All About Janet follows Janet's decision to do away - early - with her useless, bed-ridden husband. But she doesn't have the guts to do it on her own until she meets Des. Des, the darker side of Janet, tells her everything she wants to hear, cajoles her, consoles her.
Janet eventually musters the courage and gives Martin an overdose of drugs, killing him. She looks around for Des, but she has left.
Alone with her guilt, Janet suffers for a while... then quickly gets over it. In fact, things are great now... or are they?

Janet: After taking care of him for the past ten years, Janet has had enough of taking care of her bed-ridden husband, Martin. She wants him just to die so she can get on with living her life.
This is the main part with lots of dialogue and offers a range of emotion. But the overall vibe is selfishness.

Martin:
Martin is bed-ridden, terminally ill, physically emaciated and suffering from spasticity of the muscles. He cannot speak but he is fully aware of everything that goes on.
This is a role that will show off a broad range of acting talents. Revealing emotion without the use of words. This is the most demanding role of the whole script and the only male part.

Desdemona (Des) is a manifestation of Janet's selfishness. She's dark, sensuous, intelligent and exudes confidence.
This is a part with lots of dialogue.
Females, aged 25 to 45 from Birmingham, United Kingdom

Nurse
Appearing in the opening and closing scenes with dialogue in each. Some basic actions involved. You will be a Nurse that visits Martin daily to take care of his needs.
Preferably this person will look kind and motherly. Otherwise, no real preference.
