Details:

My name is Jessica student of the University of the Arts London, Camberwell College Of Arts, studying BA Sculpture.

I am actually working on creating a performance where the interaction between the viewer and the art piece is key. The performance will involve the unwitting participation of the audience; their complicity is not disclosed at the start of the performance. The performance is intended to explore distinctions between performer and audience and I hope this will create a sense of unease and tension even confusion.

I am looking for 5-6 volunteers who would like to put their drama skills to practice. The performance would last 10-20 minutes, take place at Camberwell College of Arts on the 21st of November and would be done in front of some tutors and Year 3 students on the Sculpture Course. The actors might impersonate the students or tutors on the sculpture course or asked to do something else. This could be a challenge for the actors to be versatile and dynamic yet edgy.
Depending on the outcome of the performance, the actors could also be asked to perform for the end at the Camberwell University BA Show 2012. At this event, the other colleges of the University are invited; this includes Central St Martin College, London College of Communication, Chelsea College of Art and Wimbledon College of Art. We usually receive 1000 to 2000 visitors on the private view and the show goes on for the rest of the week. The event usually has a lot of reviews and the snapshots of this event will be on the website and newspaper of the university and probably others as well.
