Thank you for your interest. Please note: the reading will be presented in American (Alabamian) English -- I can teach this if you do not have any experience. This will be a staged reading of part the play War at Home. "War at Home" is based on the true stories of 12 men and women. This particular episode shows the last day in the life of Jesse Thornton. The place is May/June 1940 in Luverne, Alabama, US. The filmed reading will be presented to the Atlanta Black Theater Festival for consideration in their October 2014 Festival.
I require the characters as follows:
1. Jesse, the main character;
2. Tim, his good friend and the brother of his wife;
3. Doris Rhodes, police officer
4. Roland; police officer
5. Brandt, barber
6. James, barber shop patron and Jesse's business partner
7. Jack, barber shop patron and local leader
