Have you got what it takes to be the next best thing on the acting circuit? This is a great opportunity to get involved with a project destined to go global!
We are Ninja Priest Productions. We are making a 15 minute short film named ‘Gran’. It is a tale about an ageing enforcer for a small time mob boss, who wants to rekindle a long lost relationship with her daughter. Little does she realise, her daughters husband owes money!
The aim for this short is to screen it at film festivals around the world including Cannes, Berlin and Amsterdam.
These are the roles we are looking for:
Gran
Looking for a woman (around 50-55). Must be willing to partially die hair and be available for shooting in February 2012.
The character is a tough aging enforcer for a small time mob boss. She is hard hitting, short fused and very frugal with her words.
Caren
Female (30-35) to play Grans Daughter. Must be available for shooting in February 2012.
The character shares blood with Gran. She is cold and independent, comes from a working class background but now lives with a middle class husband (Harry).
Harry
Male (30-35) to play Carens husband. Must be available for shooting in February 2012.
Harry is Carens husband. He is middle class and makes a healthy salary. He is very nice, welcoming and outgoing. Despite this, he has a gambling problem and owes money, however Caren doesn’t know.
These roles are unpaid, however, could lead to much bigger things!
If you feel you fit any of these roles, auditions are on Monday 21st of November between 1-5pm at St Peters Campus in Sunderland.
