'ONE SUNNY DAY' - Yorkshire/Derbyshire tour.

16 days work in total. All the show days will be 4 hour calls, except Buxton which will both be 6 hour calls as there are 2 shows a day. This is a one act comedy. The fee for this is £385.00, plus travel and any accommodation for anyone out of commutable distance.

'One Sunny Day', is the final part of our one act trilogy following one family from 1944 ('Blitz Bride'), to 1963 ('I Want To Hold Your Hand'), and now finally 'One Sunny Day', set in the early 1970's. Ruby & Henry buy a holiday cottage on the Yorkshire the coast, which is a little run-down to say the least. They start to roll up their sleeves for a bit of DIY when the family turn up & deem them mad for considering such a project. Full of nostalgic banter, mishaps, lots of comedy & a little tenderness. Along with 70's music, references, clothes, hair styles, etc. This one act play runs at approx 1 hour 10 minutes. It has a cast of 4, Ruby (50), Henry (50), Sylviann (25) & Clifford (25).

Auditions and rehearsals will take place in Elland, near Halifax, West Yorkshire.

Auditions will take place from 15-26 April.

Large build.
Yorkshire accent.
White.
Lorry driver, working class, wears Cuban heels or steel toe boots & a donkey jacket, has a gold tooth, heavy smoker. Looks & sounds intimidating but is actually very soft, a big worrier, comically blows things out of all proportion. Hates motorbikes and tattoos, scared of ghosts. A bit of a rough diamond.
Has sideburns and an Elvis quiff, we would ideally like the actor to grow authentic sideburns & style his own hair for this production, (rather than a wig/imitation sideburns).
Married to level headed primary school teacher Sylviann.
Has one year old son, Timothy.
Excellent comic delivery & timing required.
