About Me

My name is Amy Beth Katriona Ferry and I am 18 years old. I live in Fife, Scotland. I love acting and music! I am a quarter chinese and am very proud of my heritage. I am a christian, so any parts with swearing etc in them are a no-no! Haha. From a young age I have thouroughly enjoyed acting- I find it a source of escapism, and love how portraying different character's contsantly changes your view on the world. For my advanced higher acting exam, I chose to act the role of Juliet from Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet but in a modern setting, which is by far the most challenging part I have ever undertaken! I love playing a variety of characters.

Employment History & Experience

I have just left school and up to this point have had no employment in acting. However, I have studied drama at school for four years; Standard Grade, Higher and I have just sat Advanced Higher. This year I have a part in our school musical. I would have loved to have had more acting experience but unfortunately due to having a single mum and four siblings, and a full timetable, it just hasn't been possible. Really hoping that this will be the start of something!

Although I haven't actually had any paid experience, I have had a varied experience. I have been part of various wind bands and orchestras, including my school ones. I have sung in my school choir, the National Girls Choir of Scotland and the National Youth Training Choir of Scotland. I have performed with my flute as background music and in school concerts on various occasions, and also for singing. My part in the school musical this year includes me playing the piano, which I can play up to, currently, grade 5 standard.

Relevant Skills

Basic Horseriding. Although I have no dance training I learn very quickly, but I did ballet up until the age of 13. I can speak basic german (Scottish SG Credit level). Very quick at learning lines. I am good at picking up pretty much anything.

Interests & Hobbies

I'm very sporty. Have played netball since I was 8 and trained in athletics for a couple of years- short distance, hurdles, high jump and long jump. Wind bands and orchestras, choirs. Huge Lord of the Rings fan. I love Rom-Coms.
