About Me

Hi, My name is Alison and I am 18 years old.

I have been dancing since I was eight years old and since then, I have loved it and continued my career as a dancer.

In 2008 I left school at the age of 16 and went to Motherwell College to study an HNC in Professional Stage Dance where I got a C. I then continued to study dance and went to Stow College where I undertook a HND in Professional Stage Dance where I got a B.

I have been going to gymnastics since I was 4 years old and have completed badges six to bronze on floor and bronze vault. I have trained in floor, vault and trampet at Uddingston Gymnastics Club.
I now train at Hamilton Gymnastics Club and have been for four years where I have competed in two in-house competitions. I came second place and third place for vault, floor and trampet. I train in beam, bars, vault, floor and trampet at Hamilton Gymnastics Club.

I love teaching dance and being able to see the children grow in confidence and ability is great. Seeing the children on stage performing their routines that I have choreographed is amazing. By teaching dance it has made myself be more confident and outgoing as a dancer.

Performed in many dance shows with my local dance school by doing two performances a year.

Participated in Go Dance performance at Glasgow Theater Royal; January 2010 and 2008.

Podium dancer in Glasgow O'Couture Club.

Interests & Hobbies

As well as dancing and gymnastics I am also involved within my local Girls Brigade as Lieutenant Officer, where I teach children of primary and secondary age crafts, games and activity.

I am recently just finished studying an NQ in Early Education and Child Care at Coatbridge college and after the summer I will be progressing onto the HNC In Early Education and Child Care.
