About Me

My name is Ali, I am 24 years old. I was born in South Africa but have lived in the UK since the age of 6. I graduated last year with a degree in Russian and History from UCL. Having loved performing since a young age and since taking part in amateur productions for many years, I am keen to do some acting/presenting/modelling work for a new experience.

Experience & Qualifications

General Experience

I trained in Ballet, Jazz and Tap from the age of 6 until 18, furthermore I have taken part in amateur dramatics in my home town Bedford. Most recently in Nov 2018, I performed as ‘Estella’ in an amateur dramatics production of ‘Great Expectations’ by Charles Dickens, adapted for stage. In 2014 I performed as 'Muriel' in an amateur dramatics production of 'Plaza Suite' by Neil Simon. Other minor roles in the musical 'Annie' and 'The Diary of Anne Frank', adapted for stage. While at University in London I modelled for some fashion and photography students. I walked in a show in the V&A museum which was a real highlight.

I clear and confident voice. Happy performing for a camera and/or people. I take direction well and have an open minded approach.

Interests & Hobbies

I like to play tennis and practice yoga, as well as going to gym classes. Two years ago I learnt to surf, although I can only go surfing rarely. In addition, I also like to go to the theatre, concerts and art galleries, read books and listen to podcasts or music.
