About Me

I am a regulatory paralegal with a masters in law. However, despite my fairly academic background, I am a creative at heart. I am a spoken word artist/poet who performs across the North West, tackling topics that I care about and shedding light on what can be very difficult concepts. As a Somali woman, feminist and animal lover; these topics are usually centred around misogyny, racism and environmental activism. I am venturing into the acting and modelling world this year and I will be debuting my acting skills in a short film shot by WeAreFirstTake Liverpool. I will also be choreographing dance pieces for the film which will be my first credit as a dance choreographer. The film will be screened in Liverpool theatres in December 2022. If I had to describe myself in one sentence I would say I’m a professional, passionate, energetic and creative person who stands up for what they believe in and isn’t afraid to take chances in life.
