About Me

Hi, I’m Taylor Quinnell and I’m 16 years of age. I have been interested in Acting and performing ever since a young age and have always enjoyed entertaining people. To be able to have a job in the acting industry is my main goal because I’d love to wake up and look forward to my job rather than having the dread of it. In the past I have attended the ‘Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts’ as well as been in partnership with the ‘World youth Organization’ by playing the role of the main girl, in the organisations advert, which focused on Mental health and why it is important that we acknowledge it. To get this role I had to partake in an audition process. This was shown throughout workshops that occurred in several schools around the country. I am now in sixth form studying Drama, Performing Arts and Film Studies, meaning I completed my GCSE exams in the summer, leaving with the highest grade in the year group in Drama which was an A*. I would absolutely love to gain more experience within this industry to allow me to better myself as an Actress, as well as the fact that it will help with future jobs that I may want to go for, along with things such as getting into a Drama school or Uni following on from sixth form. I look forward to seeing what may come of this!

Employment History & Experience

I was asked by the ‘World Youth Organization’ to sing at their one year anniversary which took part in ‘White Hall’ in London, in the room where Winston Churchill made his famous VE Day speech on the balcony. Sharing the stage with Lydia Lucy, who was the runner up on ‘The voice’. I also performed for the likes of Gillian Mckeith and her daughters, as they are ambassadors for the charity. I performed several times throughout my time at school, by singing in assembly’s and singing for separate shows after school, such as a Glee show which I took part in for 5 years running. I was always asked to sing for events held by my school too. I have also recently performed for the first time at sixth form for an audience, as part of my exam.

Experience & Qualifications

Qualifications & Training

I received an A* in Drama GCSE with the highest grade in my year group and was the Student Head of the Performing Arts department at school, meaning I played a part in helping to prepare for events and shows that were put on, as well as setting up clubs for other students to enjoy. I also attended the ‘Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts’ which allowed me to gain extra experience and meet new people, especially when we participated in masterclasses which were taken by professionals that would come in and teach us things such as Stage Combat. At school I participated in a workshop with the production company ‘Chocolate Films’ which taught me a lot more about the technical side of filming and allowed me to understand the ins and outs of what goes on behind the scenes to create the perfect film or documentary. We filmed a documentary with them as our final project , and for this we visited an old people’s home and interviewed the residents, asking them about their lives and how things were different in their time compared to what life is like now. This was a brilliant experience for me. During the start of my GCSE course for Drama at school, I took part in a workshop in London with Frantic Assembly which taught me valuable skills and introduced me to several exercises that I still use today.

• I’m a strong Actress and Singer.
• I’m confident and always take opportunities given to me.

Interests & Hobbies

I love to sing in my spare time. I also love spending time with my family and friends by taking time out to go to the cinema or out to eat.

Miscellaneous Information

I recently was chosen by my Drama teacher to attend an event at the Lyric theatre, where several people that were in the industry came together to talk about what was in store for the future of the Acting industry. I felt extremely lucky to have been apart of this as it allowed me to realise that a lot more has to be done so that there is a future for Performing Arts.

I can’t wait to gain more experience in the Acting industry.
