About Me

My name's Pete, I'm 17 and I'm currently studying for my A-levels (A2). I am very proud to say that I achieved and A in both Drama and English Language, and got a B in both Media Studies and Film Studies. For many years now, I have been focused in my ultimate goal in life - to break into the acting business. I have been doing everything that I possibly can in order to gain more experience and to widen my scope as an actor. I write my own comedy and try to take every opportunity to perform!

I am a 17 year old student and am always writing sketches for shows. I enjoy writing, directing, and performing in my own sketches. I have experience in musicals such as; Sweeney Todd, South Pacific and Anything Goes. I have performed in front of large crowds when touring with my theatre group - Vamos Youth Theatre - and I also organised a comedy based show called 'The Big Laugh' raising money for the Birmingham Children's Hospital, and performed in front of roughly 250 people of two nights. I wrote two acts for the show - one a piece of physical theatre telling the story of an old lady named Beryl, and the other was a song about the accents from around Britain and the stereotypes made with them. I hope to go on to drama next year, as I'm applying and auditioning throughout the next 6 months.

General Experience

Even though I am only 17, I have good experience in organising events myself, writing and directing of sketches, editing of music, and of course being on stage. I have been in three musicals and had a big part each time. I have toured Worcestershire with Vamos Youth Theatre and have also performed at showcases in Malvern.

Qualifications & Training

At GCSE, I achieved an A* in drama, and at AS level, I achieved an A. I also achieved an A in English Language and a B in both Media Studies and Film Studies.
I have spent two years training with Vamos Youth Theatre, and we're currently working on a performance that will be involved with the 2012 olympics.

I am extremely energetic, driven, and determined. I love physical theatre and always try to incorporate my high level of energy and flexibility into my pieces. I feel that I can do all styles of comedy, as I have been experiementing over the past two years with which works best.
I am also a drummer, but my main focus is my acting!

Interests & Hobbies

As said previously, I am constantly writing down new ideas and ways to make people laugh, but straight acting and Stanislavski and Artaud styles of acting also interest me.
I love sport, and try to play it whenever I can. Also, I keep fit by cycling and running, as I feel I need my energy!
