About Me

Creative, passionate and energetic personality. My ultimate aim is to be a children's presenter.
I implement my passion and creative skills through song writing, singing and through the delivery of a variety of sessions. I run a local service called Makaton Connections and I enhance communication development for children and young people on a daily basis via training sessions in the community for professionals , child and parents sessions and via the delivery of invaluable videos for everyone (children and young adults) to access this great shared communication programme (Makaton).

My key achievements to date has to be : Making life-limited children smile everyday, achieving the recent completion of Regional Makaton Tutor and achieving Makaton Friendly Status at Ty Hafan. Other recent achievements are : Gaining recognition for holding a speech at the House of Commons relating to my charity work for CHICKS and undertaking a 12,000 ft skydive for Tenovus.

In addition, I create videos to help raise awareness of Makaton which focuses on a variety of concepts, puppets and me. In addition, I attend drama and I have attended 2 drama schools for almost 6 years which has enabled me to grow and develop a passion for presenting my vibrant personality.

Furthermore, I am confident with an ongoing desire to develop children’s confidence and their holistic development through meaningful, and inclusive sesssions based on Makaton, signing and pure enjoyment. In addition, I consider myself to be creative in relation to writing songs and planning sessions whilst adapting thhem according to the children's needs at the hospice.

In addition, I have excellent team Work skills which have also been presented within the roles that I have undertaken. The team work skills are evident wihtin drama sessions with my local drama school where we unite together to perform great shows for the community. Team work skills are evident within my current post where partnership working is key to ensure that the children's play needs are met, effectively.

Also, I have excellent ICT skills which have strongly developed in my job as a youth worker and I use Inclusive technology with life-limited children on a daily basis which aims to enable children to explore and express themselves. Therefore I am competent in the area of ICT.
