About Me

I am a storyteller and historical events re-enacter currently working in local cultural services I have done this for about eleven years. I have worked in the arts services and museums I am also a children's librarian and storyteller. I am a bubbly outgoing person, friendly and courteous. I am educated to degree level and hold post graduate in education. I am five foot tall, curvy, have medium length brown hair, small feet size 3 and green eyes. Some people say that I am quite pretty, I would say I am average looking. I talk with a northern Lancashire accent. I am confident in public speaking and small acting parts. I have a terrible singing voice (which has caused hysterical laughter) I am a very creative person. I also make costumes for ametur dramatic productions and historical scenes.

General Experience

I am a storyteller and historical events re-enacter. My storytelling has been mainly for children in schools as part of literacy classes, history and religion. I have done some adult storytelling this has been for both entertainment for community groups and for reminiscence purposes for the elderly. I have done this for about eleven years employed by local council and freelance. I do not have any formal acting training but my work has involved writng short scripts and performing history based short plays, these have mainly been set in the 1940's.I have also been involved in amatuer dramatics in the past. I am interested in gaining work as an extra for film or tv.

Qualifications & Training

I have been on variuos storytelling courses and in my role as librarian I have led storytelling workshops. I am hoping to undertake some acting training with a view to developing skills to take on acting parts

Interests & Hobbies

I enjoy ballroom and sequence dancing at a standard to be able to attend social functios. I love art and history and visiting galleries and museums. I like to draw and paint, write poetry and sewing.
For evenings out I love a visit to the theatre and greatly enjoy musical concerts.
