About Me

I am a retired police officer with 30 years police and military service. I am a married family man with 2 adult children. My work as a police officer has enabled me to develop my interpersonal and communication skills. I have also worked as a trainer, tutor and mentor, which has allowed me to develop confidence when speaking to large groups and holding their attention. I have worked as a self employed wedding and portrait photographer, where I have enjoyed the buzz and impromptu environment of the celebration and the uncertainty of persoanl interactions on the day. I tend to thrive on challenges and strive to be the best at what I do. I currently volunteer my services as a Blood Bike rider delivering blood and body tissue on behalf of the NHS and National Blood Service. I am also registered as a motorcycle examiner for the Institute of Advanced Motorists.

I have numerous interests, ranging from listening to music, playing the guitar & banjo (badly), house renovations, cars, driving, motorcycling, walking, holidays and foreign travel. I still maintain an active interest in architectural, travel and street photography.

Interests & Hobbies

I am interested in cars, motorcycles, fashion, music (all genres) and pets. I enjoy walks with my dog. I enjoy eating out, socialising with friends and family and foreign holidays. I travel frequently to a second home in France and I am interested in learning the French language.

I currently offer my services as a volunteer to the charity 'NW Blood Bikes' and deliver blood and human tissue on behalf of the NHS and blood transfusion service. I am also qualified and work ad hoc as a motorcycle examiner on behalf of the Institute of Advance Motorists.

I am retired police officer, white 50 years old, and currently self employed as a property maintenance / handyman. I have worked in many roles within the police service, always in a public facing capacity. I enjoy communicating with all manner of individuals, and embrace new challenges and experiences.
