About Me

I am 31 years old and have been married for 3 years. I have worked as a bank manager and have held many roles within the insolvency service including admin officer and insolvency examiner. As a civil servant my working life, though challenging, lacks excitement and does not take any advantage of my creative and imaginative side.

I trained in media studies whilst at college with my sole career goal of becoming a television presenter - specifically for childrens television. Unfortunately the realities of this vocation dawned on me leaving me with no real direction. Whilst forging a career for myself based on pay scales and promotion prospects i have been unable to recapture the passion i felt for my 1st choice. I have done what i can in my jobs to be at the forefront in presentations and meetings but role playing a customer in a bank or prentending to be a upset and angry bankrupt just haven't quite done it for me.

I am passionate about films and enjoy most genres. At first i thought that my above average understanding of how films are made would distract from my pleasure. However i have found that this just furthers my interest as i disect and determine how certain scenes and footage has been shot.

Experience & Qualifications

General Experience

Banking and insolvency accounting working background.

Experience in college of behind camera work such as editing, film studies, presenting,hosting, acting, radio presenting.

Qualifications & Training

GCSEs 5 C grades in english, science and art.
NVQ level 2 banking.
media studies BND year one - merit.

Other Information

Relevant Skills

My knowledge of behind the scenes at college would give me an advantage as an extra as an understanding of the lingo, timing and other knowledge. Although in the film world i am sure that this knowledge would be seen as mediocre as my aspiations are to participate i would see them as a great advantage over the average extra.

I have dramatic experience at school and in private performances. I take good direction and as previously stated i am not looking to become a star or have my face as the only one in frame.

Interests & Hobbies

Anything and everything to do with films including home editing.

Passionate about animals and i have 3 cats - Pepsi, Shirley & Missy.

Ameteur sporting activities for fun including - Squash, badminton, Rounders and swimming.

I also used to volunteer as an actor for in work role plays for bank whenever they became available. Although in my current workplace this is not as regular

Miscellaneous Information

I am interested in anything that would include me in part of the magic involved in TV & Film. My late uncle, who died on my birthday last year, served as an extra in an old war film (the longest day). I only knew this about him from a eulogy at his funeral. He was by no means an actor and this gave me the incentive to pursue perhaps a hint of the dream i had when i was a child.
