2014 Walkabout Isle of Wight Festival Competition

Road to Isle of Wight Festival Winner: Walkabout teamed up with the Isle of Wight Festival to run a Road to The Isle of Wight Festival Competition for musicians of all types to win a slot on this year’s Isle of Wight Festival which takes place on 12th-15th June 2014. The Isle of Wight Festival competition is supported by Jack Daniels, so the winner will not only get a slot at the Isle of Wight Festival but they will also receive £500 expenses covered and lots of Jack Daniels goodies including a limited edition Jack Daniels Guitar!

ISLE OF WIGHT FESTIVAL COMPETITION WINNERS
The Grand Final of the Isle of Wight Festival Competition was held at Temple Walkabout on Sunday 8th June. The final was made up of acts that had won previous heats at the Walkabout venues across the UK.

Judging the Grand Final were Jess Beckham a representative from Walkabout, director of Future Music Chris Grayston, Mike Picketts from Listed Music, showbiz reporter and Capital FM producer Jon Hornbuckle and singing teacher and vocal coach Mike Freeman.

RESULTS – TOP 3 BANDS
- The Tuesday Syndicate (winner of the Exeter heat)
- Watchtower (winner of the Liverpool Area Final)
- Spext and the Effects (winner of the Reading Area Final)

RESULTS – TOP 3 ACOUSTIC ACTS
- John Adams (winner of the Cardiff heat)
- Jade Helliwell (winner of the Barnsley Area Final)
- Faye Bagley (winner of the Wolverhampton Area Final)

OVERALL WINNER OF THE ISLE OF WIGHT FESTIVAL COMPETITION
