This week my band (that will remain anonymous for now) parted ways with their lead guitarist and are currently searching for a new guitarist to fit the band. At the moment there are a few awesome guitarists in the running for the position but if you feel you have what it takes we'd be willing to hold a few auditions.

Just to give you an idea of where we are at as a band, in the past month we completed a UK tour with a well known signed band and finished off with a monstrous headlining show at the Camden Underworld on Thursday. We have gigged with some of the biggest names in the metal world over the past 18 months (since the bands creation) and are one of the hottest properties in the UK metal scene.

Just a quick brief as to what we expect,

Location: London (willing to travel to Acton for rehearsal on a regular basis)
Age: 18-27
Significant live and studio experience a MUST.
Guitar playing should be of an exceptional level - no amateurs.
Equipment must be of a significant standard i.e (we currently use Mesa-Boogie Dual Rectifiers and top end Dean guitars, all pedals (noise-gates, tuners etc) must be owned also.
Writing ability must be of a very high standard (style is open but we are a groove metal band and you must be able to adapt and more importantly write in that style)
Driving is a definite bonus but not a neccessity.
All songs on MySpace should be learned by the audition, if need be, request an album through the MySpace to learn the tracks.
Audition would be roughly an hour, half an hour playing our existing tracks, half an hour jamming your material.
Image is not a huge issue but if you look like some emo-twat then this isn't the right band for you.
Countless gigs are booked so you would expected to be fully up to speed within a week or so after being accepted into the band.
Character is a huge issue, we are a very easy going band and there is no place for ego's or self dellusion.
The final absolute MUST is you have to work a full time job in order to contribute to the band, we are unsigned and therefore all studio time, rehearsal time, merch etc is purchased by the band.
