Models required for runway, print advertising and TV. Following from the rise of the success of fashion supermodels over the past 30 years including Cindy Breakspeare, Carol John Crawford, Lisa Anna and more recently Naomi Campbell, these models with a Caribbean background have spearheaded the quintessential vibrancy of the world fashion industry and have thus inspired many other models to follow in their footsteps including renowned fashion industry icons.

 

2010 will be the dawning of the next global superstar. The Caribbean Model Search aims to discover and create a model which can be an inspiration to her peers, community and further afield. We feel that fashion has no colour, so, by discovering that unique person who can continue to champion her ethnicity and transcend racial equality into the fashion mainstream - will be a responsibility unto him or herself. The

 

Caribbean Model Search is looking for males and females between the ages of 18 – 26 who have the potential for editorial or runway between 5ft 4” – 5ft 10”, size 8 – 12 and who are willing to travel overseas.

All nationalities are welcome, if you feel you can identify yourself with diverse cultures. During the running of the search, contestants’ photos will be published in various media, so the elimination and selection of this search will be from the general public nominating whom they feel should win this search. The overall model with the most nominations will be assessed by a group of industry professionals – where the winner will be announced.

 

The winner of this event will receive a cash allowance a trip to the Caribbean and a contract with a British and Caribbean model agency.
