THEATRINO is EDUCO'S Theatre In Education drama programme, in collaboration with ACLE, which is a non-profit organisation endorsed by the Italian Ministry of Education, operating successfully for 33 years. The company promotes a student based teaching method and was the first in Italy to use drama to teach English to children through Theatre In Education (T.I.E.) with our touring programme, THEATRINO.

We are selecting around 30 young, energetic performers with Theatre in Education experience and who love working with children to form 8 groups to tour across Italy, in Theatrino's 24th year, presenting interacting English language shows supported by workshops. The entire THEATRINO repertoire (performed across the four tours) consists of 10 fairytales, 8 sketches, a musical workshop, graded drama-based language workshops and 3 ‘Pop Music and Culture’ workshops for various age groups. There are four different tours that cover this repertoire:

Standard Tour

Storytelling Workshop Tour

Sketch and Workshop Tour

Pop Music and Culture Tour

Auditions are in London, UK (invite only) on Friday 4th November 2016.

All actors must be available from Friday 6th January- Saturday 3rd June 2017 (minimum). If hired, we provide a salary of €250 per week for new actors and €280 for returning actors whilst on tour (paid monthly), accommodation, car and petrol/travel costs and work insurance. A €50 contribution will be made towards arrival costs and €50 towards leaving costs at the end of tour.

For the Standard and Sketch and Workshop tours, rehearsals are from Saturday 7th January- Saturday 28th January and you will receive a total rehearsal wage of €450 plus shared room accommodation, breakfast and lunch.

For Storytelling and Pop Music and Culture artistes, rehearsals are from Saturday 7th January- Saturday 21st January and you will receive a total rehearsal wage of €300 plus shared room accommodation, breakfast and lunch.
