Rachel is Claire's best friend, they meet up the day before Claire is due to move away and talk about the move and what lies ahead etc. Rachel is a very caring friend, she understands that Claire has been through a lot and that she is quite vulnerable. She doesn't look down on Claire but she does worry slightly about her.

This is probably the easiest role in the film to play as it is very straight. You are basically just playing a caring friend.
