About Me

I am a dance graduate from Kent and my passion in life is dance. I graduated from De Montfort University, Leicester in 2010 with a first class BA Hons in dance. At University I collaborated with other choreographers, performers and musicians which developed my ability to listen to others and incorporate ideas. I consider myself to be honest,conscientious,hardworking and reliable with a positive and committed attitude.

I am looking to pursue my passion for choreography as well as gain as much performance experience as possible. I am creative and motivated and always strive to create innovative and original choreography.

I am currently working at English National Ballet School as a Marketing Assistant Intern. Since working at English National Ballet School I have gained valuable office experience within a highly professional performing arts environment which has increased my confidence and communication skills. I have been trusted to organise and prioritise my own workload and have often been given responsibility for tasks. I believe I have demonstrated that I am a reliable, conscientious team player.

Interests & Hobbies

The Arts play a big role in my life; my passion in life is dance and I attend as many performances as possible, as well as attending dance classes and choreographing in my spare time. My other interests include music, music festivals and concerts, writing, dance for film, reading and world cinema.

I have started training in pole dancing and and static circus skills including trapeze and silks.

Miscellaneous Information

I have some teaching experience: I was a dance teacher at a Saturday Morning club for primary aged children. I choreographed and taught short dance phrases, encouraging the children to create their own movement and build on their performance skills.

Furthermore, I choreographed and taught a contemporary dance piece for secondary school boys age 11-15. I worked with boys of vastly different dance abilities, again encouraging their creativity and performance.

I was selected to participate in an Improvised site specific performance at The Curve theatre, Leicester. My interest in dance improvisation led to the opportunity to perform in a group improvisation in the surrounding architecture of the auditorium.

I have participated in various workshops such as Jasmin Vardimon Company workshops at Gda, where I learnt a variety of dance phrases with different members of the company. I participated in classes withDelphine Gaborit at Gda and furthermore
Easter Dynamics workshops with Melody Squire at The Place.

I also performed with Retina Youth Dance Company at Dance 4 Stamping Ground in Nottingham.

I am a sociable and outgoing person and love a challenge. I am creative and always complete tasks to the best of my ability.
