The UK Academy prides itself on being at the cutting edge of what is happening in the television and film industry.

Screen acting techniques taught on this course have been established by leading industry professionals including BBC and ITV casting directors, directors and top Hollywood acting coach Jeremiah Comey.

Students will be filmed performing scenes from ITV and BBC dramas, British and American feature films; scenes filmed will feature on professional HD equipment and playback facilities to enable students to analyse their individual on-screen profile and performances (constructive feedback will be given).

The acting in television and film course will include; how to approach a film script, shooting short scenes, auditions and castings, sight reading, improvisation, exploring specific television and film techniques, creating realism, learning the differences between personality and character acting, why stage acting looks false on screen, what casting directors are really looking for to practical advice on getting an agent.

Over the four days students will see their individual and collective progress with excersises and techniques taught to produce completely truthful, organic and spontaneous performances on-screen.

During the course students will have the opportunity of meeting an industry professional (see our associates for details) who will be on hand to offer personal advice and answer any questions you may have surrounding the television and film industry.
