Fertile Land is set in a dystopian world where women can no longer naturally conceive. In this retro 1980's styled world, the state controls the only system of child birth (IVF). The Department of Fertility, picks and choses women from British society. Elevating their social class and standing, alongside there access to health care and goods/services.
We follow Leah a young woman chosen to be a surrogate donor by the state as she wrestles with the complexity of her new found situation in this harsh class structured Britain.
